Description
This shield sheriff embroidered patch features a layered authority design custom built for the Barry County Sheriff’s Department in Missouri, combining a perched bald eagle, an oversized gold six-point star, a Missouri state seal vignette, and a “We Serve & Protect” motto banner on a warm tan twill base.
Shape & Base: Traditional law enforcement shield with curved shoulders and a pointed bottom, built on a tan twill base and finished with a rich gold merrowed border that traces the full perimeter and establishes the formal silhouette of the patch.
Top Section: A bald eagle with spread wings perches across the upper shield in black, brown, and white thread, with its body centered above a red motto banner reading “WE SERVE & PROTECT” in bold white block lettering, together establishing the protective authority of the agency at the top of the design.
Center: A large gold six-point sheriff’s star fills the middle of the shield, each point capped with a small gold ball and detailed with intricate gold scrollwork across its surface. “SHERIFF’S” arches across the upper portion of the star in dark block lettering with “DEPT.” set on a small banner directly below, and a circular Missouri state seal vignette sits at the center showing the seal’s brown, red, white, and yellow heraldic elements framed by a black ring.
Bottom Section: A gold scroll banner curves across the lower portion of the star reading “BARRY COUNTY” in dark block lettering, with a smaller gold scroll beneath it reading “MO.” in matching dark block letters, together completing the full jurisdiction identification of the patch.
Embroidery Quality: Dense satin stitching delivers crisp edges on the eagle feathering and clean point definition on the six-point star, while the scrollwork detail across the star surface uses fine tonal variation to create dimensional depth. The state seal vignette uses fine detail work in red, white, and brown thread, the red motto banner shows clean lettering contrast against bold red fill, and the gold merrowed border is tight and uniform throughout, with the tan twill base providing warm contrast that makes the eagle, star, and banners stand out cleanly.
This design represents premium custom embroidery honoring Missouri law enforcement tradition and the heritage of Barry County.
