Shape & Base: The badge is die-struck as an upright oval shield, with raised stars set at intervals around the outer rim and a radiating sunburst field behind the center. The rim is stepped, and the raised work at the middle stands well forward of the rays fanning out behind it.
Center: A circular State of Texas seal sits at the middle of the shield, carrying THE STATE OF across the top and TEXAS across the bottom in gold. Inside it a gold star is framed by a green laurel wreath on a white ground, which makes this the fullest color range on any seal in this gallery.
