Description
The Muleshoe Police Department serves the seat of Bailey County on the far western edge of the Texas Panhandle, a ranching and farming town near the New Mexico line best known for the National Mule Memorial that gave the city its fame. Its officer badge is a full-color patriotic piece: crossed flags in enamel spread behind a gold star at the center of a silver oval.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval with a finely reeded border, ribbed lines running the full circumference like the edge of a coin. A gold band arcs the crown carrying OFFICER in black block letters.
Center Design: A polished gold five-point star anchors the badge, carrying a full-color seal ringed THE STATE OF TEXAS in red around the gold lone star and green wreath. Behind the star, the United States and Texas flags cross in full enamel color, their folds draping to either side of the oval.
Banner Lettering: CITY OF MULESHOE crosses the lower field on a black banner in white letters, POLICE follows on a straight black band, and a black TX panel with gold scrollwork ends closes the base.
Tonal Detail: Silver and gold set the frame while the flags carry the red, white, and blue — the star and seal holding the center against the color spread behind them. Black banners with white and gold lettering ground the base of the design.
