Frequently Asked Questions

Can we get a silver star instead of gold like this Nolanville design?

Yes. The faceted star here strikes in polished silver to match the oval, a cooler look than the usual gold-on-silver pairing, and the choice is yours per element — silver star on silver badge as shown, gold star for contrast, or a mixed set across ranks. The facet angles are cut so the silver still catches light against the blue map.

Can the blue map carry our own colors or state?

Yes. The map enamel can run your department blue, black, or any shade, the outline swaps to your own state, and the red seal ring can carry your municipal or county seal instead of the state seal. A clean image of your seal is all the artwork team needs to build the proof.

What does a badge like this cost?

Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The enamel map, seal ring, and split-texture die work are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.

How long does production take?

Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, silver plating, the blue and red enamel fills, and hand-finishing across both field textures.

Can the bands and stars at the base be changed?

Yes. NOLANVILLE and POLICE re-letter to your own city and agency, POLICE OFFICER on the crown accepts any rank, and the three black stars can adjust in count, switch color, or give way to a badge number panel — all struck from one die for a uniform order.

Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?

Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
