Description
The Oak Ridge Police Department serves a small city in Kaufman County on State Highway 34, between Kaufman and Terrell east of Dallas, one of the newest departments in the region. Its badge is a patriotic gold piece: an American flag waving across the full width of the oval, with a gold eagle landing above it and the state seal set on the stripes.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished gold oval with sunburst rays radiating across the upper field. POLICE DEPARTMENT arcs the crown on a gold ribbon in black block letters.
Center Design: A sculpted gold eagle descends at the top of the center, wings spread wide, over an American flag that waves in full enamel color from one edge of the oval to the other — white stars on blue at the left, red and white stripes rippling to the right. Set onto the flag is a seal ringed STATE OF TEXAS in red around a white lone star and wreath.
