The Richardson Police Department serves a city of more than a hundred thousand residents in northern Dallas County, reaching into Collin County, home to the Telecom Corridor between Dallas and Plano. Its badge is a starburst shield with spiked points around the entire outline, centered on a gold disc with a faceted star and the letters of TEXAS set between its points.
