Description
The Sachse Police Department serves a suburban city northeast of Dallas, set mostly in Dallas County with a portion in Collin County, bordering Garland, Wylie, and Murphy. Its officer badge rings a gold star with four department values and closes the design with a silver Texas map at the base.
Shape and Base: The badge is a gold shield with a rounded crown, its silver border struck with fine rays and set with small rivet studs. POLICE OFFICER arches across the top on a gold ribbon, and SACHSE follows on a second gold ribbon just beneath it, both in black serif letters.
Center Design: A silver disc fills the heart of the shield, ringed with INTEGRITY, RESPECT, COMPASSION, and HONOR in black letters. Over it stands a large gold five-point star, and at its center sits a black enamel disc lettered THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS in gold around a star within a wreath.
Banner Lettering: EST 1845 is struck on a small panel below the star, POLICE crosses a gold ribbon beneath it, black-and-white United States and Texas flags wave at the lower flanks, and a silver Texas map rests at the base of the shield.
Tonal Detail: Gold carries the shield, ribbons, and star while silver takes the border, disc, and map, and black enamel fills the seal and the monochrome flags — a badge that keeps its color palette to metal and black throughout.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in two-tone silver and gold, filled with black enamel at the seal, flags, and lettering, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same Dallas County courthouse, see the Dallas County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you use subdued flags like the black-and-white ones on this Sachse badge?
Yes. Subdued flags are struck in full detail and filled with black enamel only, so the stars and stripes read in metal and black instead of full color. They suit a badge that keeps a restrained palette, and full-color flags are always an option. You approve the look on a free proof before tooling.
Can the values around the star be changed?
Yes. The ring takes any four words your department stands for — INTEGRITY, RESPECT, COMPASSION, and HONOR as shown, or your own set — spaced evenly around the silver disc and struck into the die.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The values ring, seal star, flags, and silver map base are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the black enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the star, rivets, and map.
Can the silver map at the base be swapped for something else?
Yes. The base can hold a state map, a badge number panel, a rank tab, or a small department emblem. The POLICE OFFICER and SACHSE ribbons re-letter to any rank, city, or agency.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
