Description
The Sanger Police Department serves a growing city in northern Denton County, set along Interstate 35 north of Denton. Its badge is struck entirely in silver, ringing a large star with four words in black enamel and flanking it with full-color United States and Texas flags above a black Texas map.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished silver shield with a rounded crown, its border struck with fine rays and set with small rivet studs. SANGER arches across the top in bold black letters, and POLICE follows on a ribbon just beneath it.
Center Design: A black enamel ring fills the heart of the shield, lettered HONOR, SERVICE, VALOR, and DUTY in silver. Over it stands a large silver five-point star, and at its center sits a seal disc lettered THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS around a star within a wreath, with a small blue enamel star set just below.
Banner Lettering: The United States and Texas flags wave in full enamel at the lower flanks, DEPARTMENT crosses a ribbon between them in bold black letters, and a black enamel Texas map rests at the base of the shield.
Tonal Detail: Every metal element is one silver tone, while black enamel fills the ring, lettering, and map, and the full-color flags and small blue star add the only bright accents — a crisp contrast of silver, black, and flag color.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in polished silver, filled with black, blue, and flag enamel, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same Denton County courthouse, see the Denton County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Texas map be filled in black like this Sanger badge?
Yes. A blackened map is struck as a raised outline and filled with black enamel, so it reads as a bold silhouette against the silver shield. The map can also be filled in blue, flag colors, or left in bright metal, and you approve the fill on a free proof before tooling.
Can the four words in the ring be our own?
Yes. The ring takes any four words your department stands for — HONOR, SERVICE, VALOR, and DUTY as shown, or your own set — spaced evenly and struck into the die over black enamel.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The values ring, seal star, flag enamel, and black map are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, silver plating, the black, blue, and flag enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the star and rivets.
Can this same shield be made in gold or two-tone?
Yes. The same die strikes in silver, gold, or two-tone, with the star and ribbons in one metal and the shield in the other. SANGER, POLICE, and DEPARTMENT re-letter to your own city and agency.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
