Description
This Blanco County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Texas Hill Country county whose seat is Johnson City, between Austin and Fredericksburg. It is a classic two-color design, stitched entirely in gold on a black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a tall shield with a gently arched top, rounded shoulders, and a curved point at the base, finished with a gold merrowed border that wraps the full edge.
Center Design: A round seal fills the lower half of the shield. Two thin gold rings frame a lettered band, and inside the inner ring a five-point star sits within a pair of curving wreath branches that meet beneath it.
Lettering: SHERIFF’S arches across the top of the shield in bold gold block letters, with OFFICE set on a straight line beneath it. BLANCO COUNTY curves around the top of the seal band, TEXAS runs along the bottom, and a small five-point star sits at each side between them.
Color and Thread: Gold carries every element — lettering, rings, star, wreath, and border — against the black twill, giving the patch strong contrast that reads clearly at a distance and keeps the layout clean and traditional.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Blanco County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Blanco County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Blanco County Sheriff’s Office design, stitched in only two thread colors on black twill as shown, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can you stitch an all-gold design on a black background like this?
Yes. A single gold thread on black twill is one of the most legible patch schemes, since the contrast holds up on a dark uniform and from a distance. We can match a metallic gold thread or a standard gold polyester, depending on the look you want.
Can the round seal carry our own county name and stars?
Yes. The lettered band around the seal can carry any county or agency name across the top and a state or motto along the bottom, and the side stars, center star, and wreath can be kept, removed, or redrawn to match your department.
What does a patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for an embroidered sheriff patch?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts, so there are no surprises.
Do I need credentials to order a Blanco County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
