Description
This Callahan County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the West Central Texas county whose seat is Baird, along Interstate 20 east of Abilene. It is a bold three-color design, with gold lettering and a gold star set on a red map of Texas over a black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a flat top, rounded upper corners, and sides that curve to a point at the base, finished with a gold merrowed border and a thin gold line just inside it.
Center Design: A filled red outline of the state of Texas spans the middle of the patch. At its center, a gold five-point star sits inside an open gold laurel wreath, both stitched directly onto the red map.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters, with CALLAHAN COUNTY following the same curve just below it. TEXAS sits in gold block letters near the base, beneath the map.
Color and Thread: Black, red, and gold keep the palette tight and high-contrast, so the red state shape and gold lettering stand out sharply — a clean, confident design that reads well from across a room.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Callahan County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Callahan County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Callahan County Sheriff’s Office design, including the solid red state map at the center, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the Texas map be stitched in a different color?
Yes. The map can be filled in any thread color, outlined only, or filled with the state flag, and the star and wreath on top can be recolored to keep strong contrast.
Can you stack two lines of arched lettering like this?
Yes. Two arched lines, such as SHERIFF over CALLAHAN COUNTY, can be set on matching curves with sizes adjusted so both lines fit cleanly inside the shield.
What does a three-color patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $17 each at 10 pieces down to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Size, stitch count, and quantity set the final price, which is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Allow about three to six weeks after proof approval for digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing.
Do I need credentials to order a Callahan County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
