Description
This Edwards County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Edwards Plateau county whose seat is Rocksprings. A black star badge sits inside a ring reading COMMUNITY, INTEGRITY, and COMMITMENT on a tan patch, with the county name and EST: 1883 below.
Shape and Border: The patch is tan with a broad arched top, and its straight sides narrow slightly toward a flat base with rounded corners. A black merrowed border runs around the full edge.
Center Design: A wide black ring fills the middle of the patch, and a black five-point star badge sits over it with its points reaching past the ring. Tan banners cross the top and bottom of the star, and its center is a blue disc around a silver star in a wreath.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large black block letters. The ring reads COMMUNITY and INTEGRITY over the top and COMMITMENT along the bottom in tan, the banners on the star read SHERIFF’S and OFFICE, and the blue disc reads STATE OF and TEXAS. EDWARDS COUNTY and EST: 1883 are stitched in black below.
Color and Thread: Tan and black give the patch a clean two-tone look, while the blue disc and silver seal at the center of the star add the only other color.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Edwards County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Edwards County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Edwards County Sheriff’s Office design, including the black star inside the motto ring, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can department values be stitched in a ring around the badge?
Yes. Words like COMMUNITY, INTEGRITY, and COMMITMENT can be stitched in a ring around the center emblem, as they are here, so a department’s values become part of the patch design.
Can a star badge extend past the ring behind it?
Yes. A star can be stitched over a ring with its points reaching beyond the edge, as the black star does here, which layers the two shapes and keeps the star as the focal point.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Edwards County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order an Edwards County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
