Description
This Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Nacogdoches, known as the Oldest Town in Texas. Created as a municipality of Mexico in 1826 and organized as a county in 1837, the county is named for the Nacogdoche people. A fan of historic flags rises behind a gold ring holding a six-point star and a flag-colored Texas map on this black patch.
Shape and Border: The patch has an arched top and sides that angle in toward a rounded base, finished with a gold merrowed border.
Center Design: A fan of historic flags on gold-tipped staffs spreads across the top, including the U.S. flag and flags in red, white, blue, and green, a fitting touch for a city that claims to have flown under nine flags. Below them, a gold ring frames a black disc with a gold six-point star and a Texas map in the colors of the state flag, with green sprigs on either side of the ring.
Lettering: NACOGDOCHES COUNTY curves across the top of the ring and EST 1836 across the bottom between two small stars, both in black, and SHERIFF runs across the base in large gold block letters.
Color and Thread: The bright flags and the flag-colored map stand out against the black twill, while the gold ring, star, border, and lettering tie the design together.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Nacogdoches Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office design, including the flag fan, six-point star, and EST 1836 ring, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a row of historic flags be fanned across the top of a patch?
Yes. Fanning several flags on gold-tipped staffs across the top, as on this design, lets each flag show its colors while the ring and star below stay clear and readable.
Why does Nacogdoches claim nine flags?
Nacogdoches, the county seat, claims to have flown under nine flags: the Six Flags of Texas plus those of the Magee-Gutierrez Republic, the Long Republic, and the Fredonian Rebellion. It is also known as the Oldest Town in Texas.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Nacogdoches County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
