Description
This Panola County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Carthage. Created in 1846 from parts of Harrison and Shelby counties, the year shown on the patch, the county takes its name from a Choctaw and Chickasaw word for cotton. A gold sheriff’s badge over a gray Texas map, between the U.S. and Texas flags, fills the center of this navy shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with an arched top and sloping shoulders that taper to a point at the base, finished with a navy merrowed edge and a gray inner border band.
Center Design: A gold five-point star with ball tips over a gold circle sits on a gray Texas map, with the U.S. flag waving on the left and the Texas flag on the right. At the badge center, a red-ringed navy disc holds a white star in a gold wreath, and a small gold star sits at the bottom point of the patch.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters. The badge reads SHERIFF and PANOLA above its center and COUNTY and TX below in black, EST. 1846 sits beneath it in gold, and PANOLA and COUNTY curve along the lower sides in large gold letters.
Color and Thread: The gold badge and lettering stand out against the navy twill, while the gray map and border band and the red, white, and blue flags add depth behind the center.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Panola County Constable badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Panola County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Panola County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold badge, gray Texas map, and PANOLA COUNTY lettering along the edge, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the county name appear twice, on the badge and around the edge?
Yes. On this design PANOLA COUNTY appears on the gold badge itself and again in large gold letters along the lower edge of the patch, so the name reads clearly both up close and at a distance.
Is this the Panola County in Texas or in Mississippi?
This is Panola County, Texas, on the Louisiana line, whose county seat is Carthage. Mississippi also has a Panola County, which is a separate jurisdiction.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Panola County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Panola County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
