Description
This Randall County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Canyon. Created in 1876 and organized in 1889, the county is named for Horace Randal, a Confederate brigadier general. A gold star badge carrying the Texas state seal, framed by the U.S. and Texas flags, fills the center of this navy shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with angled top corners and sides that taper to a point at the base, finished with a gold merrowed edge.
Center Design: A gold five-point star with ball tips carries a curved scroll across its upper arms and a second scroll across its lower points. At its center, a seal holds a blue disc with a gold star in a gold wreath, while the U.S. flag streams to the left and the Texas flag to the right from behind the star.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top and TEXAS across the base in large gold serif letters, with RANDALL and COUNTY set on either side of the star’s top point. The scrolls read SHERIFF’S and OFFICE, and the seal reads RANDALL COUNTY and SHERIFF’S OFFICE in navy around a red ring lettered THE STATE OF TEXAS in gold.
Color and Thread: Gold thread carries the star, lettering, and border against the navy background, while the red, white, and blue flags and the red seal ring add color across the middle.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Amarillo Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Randall County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Randall County Sheriff’s Office design, including the serif SHERIFF and TEXAS lettering, seal star, and outstretched flags, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can flags be stitched streaming outward from behind a star instead of crossed?
Yes. On this design the U.S. flag streams to the left and the Texas flag to the right from behind the star, framing the badge across the width of the patch rather than crossing above it.
Why is Randall County spelled with two L’s?
The county is named for Horace Randal, a Confederate brigadier general killed at the Battle of Jenkins Ferry, but the bill that created it in 1876 misspelled his name. Canyon is the county seat, and Amarillo, the largest city, lies partly in the county.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Randall County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Randall County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
