This Sabine County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Hemphill. Organized in 1837, the county is named for the Sabine River, which forms its eastern border with Louisiana. A Texas map filled with the state flag, set over a large gold star, fills the center of this black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a gently arched top, rounded corners, and sides that curve in to a rounded point at the base, finished with a gold merrowed edge.
