Description
This Stephens County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Breckenridge, its largest city. Created in 1858 as Buchanan County, it was renamed in 1861 for Alexander H. Stephens and organized in 1876. A gold six-point star inside a cream ring, set over waving U.S. and Texas flags, fills the center of this black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with an arched top, angled shoulders, and sides that taper to a point at the base, finished with a cream merrowed edge.
Center Design: A wide cream ring outlined in black sits at the center. The U.S. flag waves out to the left and the Texas flag to the right, passing behind the ring, and inside it the two flags fill the field behind a gold six-point star with ball tips, outlined in black. At the star’s center, a light blue disc holds a gold star in a green wreath.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large cream serif letters, with STEPHENS COUNTY arched in smaller cream serif letters beneath it and TEXAS across the base. On the star, STEPHENS arcs above the center and COUNTY and TX sit below it in black.
Color and Thread: Cream lettering and edging stand out softly on the black background, while the red, white, and blue flags and the gold star give the center its color.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Stephens County Constable badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Stephens County Sheriff’s Office design?

Can a patch be stitched in cream thread instead of white?
Yes. The lettering, border, and ring on this design are stitched in a soft cream rather than bright white, which reads warmly against the black field and the gold six-point star at the center.
Was Stephens County ever called Buchanan County?

What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Stephens County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Stephens County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
