Center: A large silver five-point star fills the middle of the badge with beveled arms reaching to the rim, and a raised block letter D sits at its center. Behind the star, the field is blue enamel with two concentric rope-twist rings in silver, one at the edge of the field and one inside it, so the star reads against ribbed blue rather than a flat ground.
