The New Boston Police Department serves the seat of Bowie County in the far northeast corner of Texas, on US 82 twenty miles west of Texarkana. Its officer badge is a gold shield that trades enamel color for engraving at the center — an all-metal state seal in fine relief, with the flags at its flanks carrying the color instead.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished gold shield crowned by a blue enamel star finial at the apex. OFFICER crosses the top on a gold band in black block letters, and below it a sculpted eagle head spreads its wings across the width of the shield.
Center Design: A gold disc anchors the badge, engraved STATE OF TEXAS around a lone star and wreath rendered entirely in relief — no color, just metal on metal. The United States and Texas flags spread in full enamel from behind the disc, red, white, and blue framing the engraved gold.
