Description
The Nash Police Department serves a small city in Bowie County at the far northeast corner of Texas, on the west side of Texarkana where US 82 runs toward New Boston. Its officer badge is built around a single dominant figure: a gold star spanning nearly the full face of the oval, ringed by rope and backed by a spiked sunburst that breaks past the rim.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval with a gold spiked sunburst radiating from behind it, the points showing past the rim at the crown and base. NASH crosses the top on a silver band in black block letters.
Center Design: A gold five-point star commands the badge, its points reaching nearly rim to rim, with a gold rope circle looping behind them. At the center of the star sits a seal ringed STATE OF TEXAS in red around a silver medallion — the one ring of color on the badge.
Banner Lettering: POLICE OFFICER sweeps the lower field on a broad silver band in black letters, and TEXAS closes the base on a matching silver band — an all-silver lettering scheme that lets the gold star and sunburst carry the shine.
Tonal Detail: Silver holds the oval and every band while gold takes the star, rope, and sunburst spikes, with the red seal ring supplying the single note of color. It is a bold, high-contrast badge that reads clearly across a room.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in two-tone silver and gold, enamel-filled at the seal ring, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same courthouse, see the Bowie County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make the sunburst break past the edge of the badge like this Nash design?
Yes. The spiked sunburst is struck as part of the badge silhouette itself, so the points extend beyond the oval rim at the crown and base rather than stopping inside it. The artwork team can set the spike count, length, and spread to your preference, shown exactly on a free proof before tooling.
Can the star be made this large on our badge?
Yes. A full-face star reaching nearly rim to rim is a deliberate proportion choice, and the die is drawn to whatever balance you want — a dominant star like this one, or a smaller star that leaves more field showing. The rope circle behind the points scales with it.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The oversized star, rope detail, and sunburst silhouette are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the red seal enamel, and hand-finishing of the sunburst points and rope work.
Can the silver bands be re-lettered for our own department?
Yes. NASH on the crown re-letters to your own city, POLICE OFFICER accepts any rank or agency wording, and TEXAS swaps to your state — and the bands can also strike in gold if you prefer a matched-metal look. All lettering is confirmed on the proof.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
