Description
The Pelican Bay Police Department serves a small lakeside city in far northwest Tarrant County on the shore of Eagle Mountain Lake, bordered by Azle and a short drive from Fort Worth. Its officer badge reverses the usual accent scheme: a polished gold oval with a bright silver seal at its heart, carrying a Texas flag in enamel.
Shape and Base: The badge is a gold oval with a cross-hatched rim and sunburst rays radiating from the center. POLICE OFFICER arcs the crown on a broad gold ribbon in black block letters, with drape tails at the shoulders.
Center Design: A silver disc medallion fills the heart of the badge, lettered STATE OF across the top and TEXAS below it, with a small Texas flag panel in full enamel set over an engraved star. Laurel sprays curve up both sides of the disc, and two small black stars sit at its base.
Banner Lettering: PELICAN BAY crosses the lower field on a gold ribbon in black letters, POLICE follows on a second gold ribbon beneath it, and a gold panel carrying the badge number 85 closes the base.
Tonal Detail: Gold carries the oval, rays, and ribbons while the silver seal holds the center, and the enamel flag supplies the only red, white, and blue — a selective two-metal finish that sets the seal apart like an inlaid coin.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in polished gold with a selective silver seal, enamel-filled at the flag panel, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county counterpart from the same Tarrant County rolls, see the Tarrant County Constable badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you set a silver seal in a gold badge like this Pelican Bay design?
Yes. The seal takes a selective silver finish while the rest of the badge plates in gold, so the center reads like an inlaid coin. The scheme also reverses, with a gold seal on a silver badge, and you see the exact split on a free proof before tooling.
Can the flag panel on the seal show a different flag?
Yes. The small enamel panel can carry your state flag, the US flag, or a department emblem, and the STATE OF TEXAS lettering around it re-letters to your own state, city, or county.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The selective silver seal, enamel flag, and laurel detail are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, gold plating with the selective silver seal, the flag enamel fill, and per-badge number striking.
Can each officer get an individual badge number?
Yes. The base panel carries a badge number struck individually on each piece in the order. POLICE OFFICER, PELICAN BAY, and POLICE re-letter to your own rank, city, and agency, and the whole set strikes from one die.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
