Description
The Prosper Police Department serves one of the fastest-growing towns in North Texas, in northwest Collin County along the Dallas North Tollway just north of Frisco and south of Celina. Its officer badge sets a large faceted gold star at the center of a silver oval, framed by gold laurel sprays and a laurel wreath around the full rim.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval bordered by a sculpted laurel wreath rim, with deep sunburst rays radiating across the field. OFFICER arcs the crown on a gold ribbon in black block letters, with drape tails at the shoulders.
Center Design: A large faceted gold five-point star dominates the center, its points catching light at every angle, flanked by gold laurel sprays that rise on either side. Just below the star sits an engraved gold seal medallion carrying a star and wreath in relief.
Banner Lettering: PROSPER, POLICE, and TEXAS stack across the lower field on three gold ribbons with scrolled ends, each in bold black letters.
Tonal Detail: Silver carries the oval, rim, and rays while gold takes the star, laurel, seal, and every ribbon, with no enamel color at all — a clean two-metal badge that relies on the faceted star and deep rays for its impact.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in two-tone silver and gold, filled with black enamel at the lettering, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same Collin County rolls, see the Collin County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make a large faceted gold star like the one on this Prosper badge?
Yes. The star is cut with sharp facets on every point, so it catches light at every angle and stands out against the silver rays behind it. It can be sized to dominate the badge as shown or scaled down, and it can strike in silver instead. You approve the proportions on a free proof before tooling.
Can we get a two-metal badge with no enamel color like this one?
Yes. This design uses only silver and gold, with black fill in the lettering, so the star, laurel, and rays carry the look through metal contrast alone. A color seal or flag can be added later from the same layout if you want a dress version.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The faceted star, laurel sprays, and wreath rim are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the lettering fill, and hand-finishing of the star facets and laurel relief.
Can the ribbons be re-lettered for other ranks?
Yes. OFFICER re-letters to SERGEANT, LIEUTENANT, CHIEF, or any title, PROSPER and POLICE re-letter to your own city and agency, and TEXAS swaps to your state or a badge number.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
