Description
The Saint Jo Police Department serves a small North Texas city in Montague County, set in ranch country south of the Red River. Its badge is a colorful design, pairing a gold star on a Texas flag field with a gold bronc rider and a green-centered seal lettered for the city.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished gold oval with a wide black enamel border studded with small gold stars all the way around. SAINT JO arches across the top of the border in raised gold letters.
Center Design: The inner field is filled with the blue, white, and red of the Texas flag, and a large gold five-point star stands over it. At the heart of the star sits a seal disc with a red ring lettered SAINT JO, TEXAS and ESTABLISHED 1856, framing a green center with a gold star inside a wreath. A gold rider on a bucking horse breaks out past the star at the right side.
Banner Lettering: POLICE crosses a black enamel ribbon beneath the star, and DEPT. follows on a second black ribbon, both in raised gold serif letters.
Tonal Detail: Gold carries the oval, stars, rider, and lettering while black enamel fills the border and ribbons, and the flag field, red ring, and green seal center add bold color — a lively badge that mixes state pride with ranch heritage.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in polished gold, filled with black, flag, red, and green enamel, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For a neighboring department from the same Montague County, see the Bowie Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you add a rodeo figure to our badge like this Saint Jo design?
Yes. A rodeo figure such as a bronc rider, roper, or longhorn can be sculpted in raised metal and set so it breaks past the star or border for extra depth. Our artwork team draws it from your reference, and you approve the pose and detail on a free proof before tooling.
Can the border carry stars like this all the way around?
Yes. A black enamel border can be set with small raised stars around the full oval, in any count, or with dots, scrollwork, or lettering instead. The border can also be filled in navy or left in bright metal.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The star border, flag field, seal enamel, and rider are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, gold plating, the black, flag, red, and green enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the rider and star border.
Can the POLICE and DEPT. ribbons carry other text?
Yes. The ribbons can read a rank, OFFICER, CHIEF, or a badge number, and SAINT JO re-letters to your own city. The seal disc can carry your city name and founding year or the state seal.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
