Description
This Cochran County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the South Plains county on the New Mexico line whose seat is Morton, west of Lubbock. It places a red Texas outline at the center of a black patch, flanked above by two oval vignettes.
Shape and Border: The patch has an arched top, straight sides, and a gently rounded base, with a black field framed by a red merrowed border around the full edge.
Center Design: A large red outline of Texas fills the middle of the patch, with a small gold five-point star near its western border. Above the state, two silver ovals with gold rims sit in the upper corners: the left holds a right-facing profile of a figure with long, flowing hair, and the right holds an antelope’s head with curved horns, both drawn in black.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top of the patch in large gold block letters, and COCHRAN COUNTY runs straight across the bottom in gold.
Color and Thread: Red, black, and gold carry the design, with the silver ovals adding a lighter accent at the top and the gold star giving the red state outline a single bright focal point.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Cochran County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Cochran County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Cochran County Sheriff’s Office design, including the red Texas outline with its gold star, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the star on the state outline mark our county’s location?
Yes. A small star can be placed anywhere on a state outline, so it can sit on your county or your city, and its size and thread color can be matched to the rest of the patch.
Can the two oval vignettes be changed to other images?
Yes. The ovals can carry a county landmark, a local animal, a seal, or another image of your choice, or be removed for a simpler layout. The gold rims and silver backgrounds can be recolored as well.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Cochran County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Cochran County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
