Description
This Jones County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the county in the Abilene metropolitan area whose seat is Anson. Created in 1858 and organized in 1881, the county and its seat are both named for Anson Jones, the fourth and final president of the Republic of Texas. A round seal with a gold star in a green wreath sits on a dark brown shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a gently curved top and rounded upper corners, and its curved sides meet in a point at the base. A gold merrowed border runs around the full edge.
Center Design: A round seal sits in the middle of the shield, outlined by a gold outer ring and a thin gold inner ring. Inside, a gold five-point star is framed by a green wreath of two leafy branches that curve up from the base of the seal.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large gold block letters. The seal ring reads COUNTY OF JONES at the top and STATE OF TEXAS at the bottom in gold, with a small gold star separating the two lines at each side.
Color and Thread: The design keeps to gold thread on brown twill, with the green wreath as the only other color, which draws the eye to the star at the center of the seal.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Jones County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Jones County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Jones County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold star, green wreath, and COUNTY OF JONES seal ring, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the wreath be stitched in green on an otherwise gold patch?
Yes. One accent color can set the wreath apart, as the green branches do here against a design that is otherwise gold thread on brown twill. The contrast keeps the star at the center of the seal easy to spot.
Can the seal ring read COUNTY OF instead of the county name first?
Yes. The ring lettering can follow whatever wording an agency uses, as this seal reads COUNTY OF JONES at the top and STATE OF TEXAS at the bottom rather than JONES COUNTY.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Jones County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Jones County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
