Description
This Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Hallettsville. Created and organized in 1846, the county is named for the Lavaca River. A gold map of the county, labeled with four of its towns, fills the center of this black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with an arched top and a pointed base, finished with a gold merrowed border.
Center Design: A large gold map of Lavaca County sits on the black field. Dark brown lettering on the map names MOULTON, SHINER, HALLETTSVILLE, and YOAKUM, with a small dot beside most of the names and a small dark brown star above HALLETTSVILLE, the county seat.
Lettering: SHERIFF’S DEPT. arches across the top in gold block letters. LAVACA and COUNTY run diagonally in gold along the angled lower edges of the shield, one on each side of the map’s point.
Color and Thread: The design uses only black, gold, and dark brown thread, giving the patch a bold, high-contrast look that keeps every town name easy to read.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a neighboring county design, see the Fayette County Sheriff patch.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department design, including the gold county map, dark brown town names, and black shield, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can several town names be labeled inside a county map?
Yes. Town names can be stitched right on the map, as MOULTON, SHINER, HALLETTSVILLE, and YOAKUM are here in dark brown on gold, with a small dot beside most of them and a star above HALLETTSVILLE, the county seat.
Can a county’s own outline take the place of a Texas map on a patch?
Yes. A single county shape can fill the center instead of the whole state, as the gold Lavaca County map does here, set on black between the arched SHERIFF’S DEPT. title and the diagonal LAVACA COUNTY lettering.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Lavaca County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
