Description
This Colorado County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Texas county on Interstate 10 between Houston and San Antonio whose seat is Columbus. It pairs crossed U.S. and Texas flags with a gold star on a navy shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a navy shield with an arched top, squared shoulders, and sides that curve in to a rounded base, framed by a gold border band inside a navy merrowed edge.
Center Design: The flag of the United States and the flag of Texas fly from crossed gold poles at the center of the shield, with the U.S. flag on the left and the Texas flag on the right. A large plain gold five-point star sits over the point where the poles cross, and a small gold five-point star rests at each side just above the lower banner.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top of the shield in large white block letters. COLORADO is set in navy letters on a silver-gray scroll banner beneath it, and COUNTY sits on a matching banner at the bottom.
Color and Thread: Navy, gold, and silver-gray frame the design, while the red, white, and blue of the two flags give the center its color and make the patch read clearly at a distance.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Eagle Lake Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Colorado County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Colorado County Sheriff’s Office design, including the crossed U.S. and Texas flags behind the gold star, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Is this patch from Colorado County, Texas, or the state of Colorado?
This design belongs to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office in Texas, whose seat is Columbus. The Texas flag on the patch reflects its home state, and the county takes its name from the Colorado River of Texas, which runs through it.
Can flags be embroidered with their stars and stripes intact?
Yes. Each flag is stitched with separate thread colors for every field, so the stripes, the star field on the U.S. flag, and the single star on the Texas flag stay crisp even at shoulder-patch size.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Colorado County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Colorado County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
