Description
This Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Lubbock. Created in 1876 and organized in 1891, the county is named for Thomas Saltus Lubbock, a Texas Ranger and Confederate colonel. A faceted gold star inside a green wreath with red berries fills this navy shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with an arched top and a pointed base, finished with a gold merrowed border.
Center Design: A large gold five-point star, shaded along its ridges to look faceted, fills the center. A green wreath dotted with red berries circles behind it, its stems crossing at the bottom, and the star’s points reach past the wreath.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large gold serif letters, with LUBBOCK COUNTY arched in smaller gold serif letters beneath it. TEXAS sits across the base in gold serif letters.
Color and Thread: Gold on navy keeps the design classic and easy to read, while the green wreath and red berries add small touches of color.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Lubbock Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office design, including the faceted gold star, red-berried wreath, and gold serif lettering, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can small red berries be added to a green wreath?
Yes. Small accent dots can be stitched along a wreath, as red berries run between the green leaves here, adding a touch of color to an otherwise gold-and-navy patch.
Is this the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office patch or the Lubbock Police patch?
This is the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office patch, marked SHERIFF and LUBBOCK COUNTY. The City of Lubbock has its own police department, a separate agency whose badge also appears in the gallery.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Lubbock County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
