About this chocolate lab narcotics hexagon
Labradors are the classic detection dog, and a chocolate lab gives this patch warmth that a shepherd silhouette rarely has. The head sits on a shield with crossed keys behind it — keys for the doors a good nose opens during searches. The hexagon outline is sharp and modern, and the grey, black, brown and white palette keeps attention on the dog's face.
Order it as shown or adapt it: redraw the dog to match your own K9, rename the unit line, or change the narcotics line to explosives detection, tracking or patrol. This page shows a design concept we manufacture to order — your stitch-ready proof arrives 6–12 hours after you order, and nothing is produced until you approve it.

Chocolate lab K9 patch questions
Can the dog look like our own K9?
Yes. Send a clear photo of your dog's head and we redraw the coat color and markings onto the shield at no art charge.
Can the narcotics line say explosives or tracking?
Yes. Both lettering lines restitch, so the unit name and specialty can read however your team is designated.
Is there a harness-size version?
Yes. A 2- to 3-inch hexagon with hook-side velcro fits most K9 harness panels; the proof simplifies the keys slightly at that size.
Can we order a memorial version for a retired dog?
Yes. Add the dog's name and years of service as a note in the markup tool and we'll place them on the proof.
How do I send changes?
Open the markup tool in the quote form, circle the dog or keys, pin notes and test colorways. The marked version is attached to your quote.
Need another K9 or department design?
This page covers one detection-dog hexagon. For shepherd, malinois and bloodhound K9 layouts along with patrol designs, the police designs that sit beside this chocolate labrador and crossed keys hexagon show every shape departments order.
