SWAT K9 Patch — Order This Spread-Wing Eagle and Key Shield
Design S1592A at a glance
A grey-edged shield in black, blue, grey and white, with an eagle spreading its wings while holding a key. The lettering is busy in the best way — a department line, tactical special operations wording, separate SWAT and K-9 lines and an established year — giving a combined tactical and canine team one patch that names both jobs.

About this SWAT K9 eagle and key design
Tactical teams that deploy with a dog need insignia that covers both sides of the job, and this shield does it in the lettering rather than by cramming a dog into the art. The emblem stays clean: an eagle with wings spread, holding a key — the team as the one that opens doors. Black, grey and blue keep it low-key on dark kit, with white reserved for the words.
Adjust it to your team: rename the SWAT and K-9 lines for an ERT, SRT or canine entry unit, put your department in the top line, change the year, or run the whole shield in a tonal grey for carriers. This page shows a design concept we manufacture to order — your stitch-ready proof arrives 6–12 hours after you order, and nothing is produced until you approve it.
SWAT K9 patch quick facts

- Rush production takes 7–10 days and is available on every custom patch.
- Tactical teams usually order this shield at 3.5" for carriers and 4" for team polos.

SWAT K9 patch questions
Can the SWAT and K-9 lines read differently?
Yes. Both lines restitch to any team name — ERT, SRT, TAC or canine entry — and the department line and year change too. Your 4-hour mockup shows the new wording.
Can we get a blackout version for deployment?
Yes. The shield stitches black on black, or in wolf gray or tan, with velcro backing. Preview each subdued build in the markup tool before quoting.
Could the key become a breaching tool?
Yes. The eagle can hold a ram, a halligan or your team emblem instead of the key — redrawn at no art charge and shown on the proof.
What backing should go on our carriers?
Hook-side velcro. It mates with the loop panels on carriers and helmets, so one patch moves between kit. Polos and shirts usually take sew-on.
How do I show the team what's changing?
Mark the design in the quote form's markup tool — circle the eagle, pin notes on each lettering line, switch colorways — and the marked version is attached to your quote.
Need another tactical or canine design?
A combined SWAT and K-9 shield is one niche. The police unit patches that sit beside this spread-wing eagle and key shield also cover patrol, investigations, traffic and standalone K9 units. For questions about PVC for helmets, velcro for carriers or how price changes by quantity, the patch guide that prices a black and grey eagle-key tactical shield has the details.
