About this scales, patrol boat and compass octagon
Drug interdiction on the water needs its own insignia, and this octagon builds one from three ideas: the scales for the law, a patrol boat for the mission and a compass grid for navigation. Olive green and black keep it as quiet as a task force patch should be. The octagon outline sets it apart from the round and shield patches most agencies wear.
Order it as shown or customize it: put your task force and unit names in the lettering, swap the boat for a vehicle or aircraft, or switch to navy and gold for formal wear. This page shows a design concept we manufacture to order — your stitch-ready proof arrives 6–12 hours after you order, and nothing is produced until you approve it.

Who orders this design

Drug task force octagon patch questions
Can the patrol boat be swapped for a vehicle?
Yes. An SUV, helicopter, plane or K9 can replace the boat at no art charge, and the proof shows the change.
Is this design subdued enough for undercover kit?
Olive and black are already low-contrast. Coyote and black, or full blackout, are options in the markup tool.
Can the compass letters be changed?
Yes. The compass grid can show all four points, or none, at no charge; your 4-hour mockup shows the result.
Can our agencies' names go on the patch?
Yes. The task force line, region line and unit line restitch to your wording, including several agency names if you need them.
Where do I mark up changes?
In the markup tool in the quote form: circle the scales, boat or compass, pin numbered notes and pick a colorway. The marked-up octagon attaches to your quote automatically.
Need a different task force patch, or the full catalog?
This scales-and-boat octagon is one task force design. The police patches beyond this olive scales-and-patrol-boat octagon include K9, tactical and investigations layouts in every shape. If you're deciding between embroidered and PVC, or starting from your task force's existing art, the patch guide pricing a two-tone task force octagon from ten pieces covers every option.
