Oval Police Department Patch — Order This Oak Tree and Star Design
Design S1802A at a glance
An oval framed in grey, with a broad oak tree filling the center and a star worked into the design. The lettering carries the town name, the police department line and a short motto. Stitched in charcoal, grey and white, the tree reads almost like an engraving, which gives the whole patch a steady, civic tone.

About this oak tree oval police design
An oak is shorthand for steadiness — deep roots, long service, shelter for the community around it. This design lets the tree dominate the oval, with a star that ties it back to law enforcement. The grayscale palette is deliberate: it keeps the canopy detail sharp and lets the patch sit on navy, black or tan uniforms without a color clash.
Make it yours by adding your town name and motto, giving the star a gold or silver fill, or switching the canopy to green for a full-color version. This page shows a design concept we manufacture to order — your stitch-ready proof arrives 6–12 hours after you order, and nothing is produced until you approve it.

Oval police department patch questions
Can the oak become a different tree?
Yes. A pine, maple, palm or your town's own landmark tree redraws into the oval at no art charge. Send a photo and the mockup shows the new tree in place.
Can the star stitch in gold instead of grey?
Yes. The star can run in gold, metallic silver or any thread color, while the rest of the patch stays grayscale for contrast.
Is an oval a good shape for a department shoulder patch?
It is. Ovals give more lettering room than a round of equal width and follow the shoulder seam comfortably. Most departments order 3.5" × 4.5".
Can the motto be changed or left off?
Yes. The motto line and both lettering panels restitch to whatever wording your department uses, or we drop the motto entirely.
How do we show our edits?
Open the markup tool in the quote form, circle each part you want changed and pin a note on it. That marked-up version travels with your quote.
