German Shepherd Police K9 Patch — Order This Compass Rose Shield Design
Design S1514A at a glance
A gold-edged shield with a German shepherd head set on a compass rose. Three lettering fields hold the department name, a police line and a K-9 unit callout. The navy, green, gold and silver palette gives it a polished, issued look, and the compass points add movement behind the dog without crowding it.

About this shepherd and compass rose shield
The compass rose is the quiet idea in this design: it says the team tracks and finds, without putting a paw print or a bone anywhere near the insignia. Pairing it with a realistic shepherd head keeps the patch serious enough for a duty sleeve. Only three short lettering fields means the dog and compass get most of the shield, which helps the detail survive at a 3.5-inch size.
Order it as shown or adjust it: set your department name in the top field, change the unit line to Tracking or Patrol K9, or redraw the shepherd from a photo of your own dog. This page shows a design concept we manufacture to order — your stitch-ready proof arrives 6–12 hours after you order, and nothing is produced until you approve it.

German shepherd police K9 patch questions
Can the German shepherd be redrawn as our own dog?
Yes. Send a clear photo and we redraw the head with your dog's coat pattern and ear set at no art charge. The proof shows it on the compass before production.
Can we change the K-9 unit line?
Yes. It can read Tracking, Narcotics K9, Patrol K9 or anything short your unit uses. All three lettering fields restitch to your wording.
Can we get a subdued version for vests?
Yes. The compass and shepherd stitch in coyote, ranger green or blackout with velcro backing. Preview each in the markup tool before you quote.
What size fits a K9 harness panel?
Usually 3 inches. We scale the compass points and lettering on your proof so everything stays readable at that size.
How do I request edits to this design?
Use the markup tool in the quote form to circle elements, pin notes and pick a different colorway. Your marked-up shield is added to the quote.
