The Mustang Ridge Police Department serves a small city on US 183 southeast of Austin, where the Travis, Caldwell, and Bastrop county lines meet on the blackland prairie. Its chief badge puts the city name in a single figure: a gold mustang rearing at full height over a sunrise, with the ridge itself rolling beneath its hooves.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval framed by a sculpted laurel wreath running the full border. CHIEF crosses the crown in black block letters, and a pair of blank gold ribbons drape the shoulders of the oval.
Center Design: A gold mustang rears at the center of the badge, forelegs raised, mane and tail in motion, modeled in full relief against a field of sunrise rays. Below the horse, a sculpted ridgeline rolls across the lower field with TEXAS ghosted in raised letters along its face — name and place fused into one scene.
