It is a two-tone five-point star-in-ring badge, struck with a silver star set inside a gold ring and enamel flag panels worked into the ring arcs.
Shape & Base: A five-point star is die-struck in silver and set inside a circular gold ring, with rounded ball tips finishing each of the five points and a ball finial at the top of the ring. Beaded borders run the length of every star arm and the field between them is pebbled, so the silver holds texture across its whole face.
Center: A circular seal sits at the heart of the star, built as a red enamel ring carrying STATE OF across the top and TEXAS across the bottom in white lettering. Inside it, a blue enamel disc holds a white star framed by a gold laurel wreath, with small black stars and diamonds set on the star face at either side.
Ring & Banner Lettering: CONSTABLE arcs across the top of the gold ring in black-filled letters, and WALKER arcs above the seal on the star face with COUNTY below it. Two silver ribbon banners cross the star, the upper carrying the name of the serving constable, GENE BARTEE, and the lower reading EST. 1846 for the year the county was organized.
