Frequently Asked Questions

Can we get an all-gold badge with just one spot of color like this Nassau Bay design?

Yes. This badge keeps everything in polished gold — eagle, wreath field, ribbons — and lets the red-ringed seal carry all the color. The artwork team can hold that same restraint with your own seal at center, or add a second accent such as black ribbon fill if you want slightly more contrast. You see it exactly on a free proof.

Can the eagle on the crown be changed or removed?

Yes. The sculpted eagle can spread wider or sit more compact, be replaced with a state seal crest, a star, or a plain arched crown, or carry a rank panel beneath it. The eagle is part of the die, so whatever crown you choose strikes identically on every badge in the order.

What does a badge like this cost?

Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The sculpted eagle, full wreath field, and enamel seal are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.

How long does production take?

Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, gold plating, the seal enamel fill, and hand-finishing of the eagle and wreath relief.

Can the three ribbons carry our own department name?

Yes. NASSAU BAY, POLICE, and DEPARTMENT re-letter to your own city and agency across the same three-ribbon stack, a rank or badge number can replace the third ribbon, and the TEXAS panel swaps to your state. Long names spread naturally across the stacked layout.

Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?

Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
