Description
The Rhome Police Department serves a small city in southeastern Wise County on US 287 and US 81, northwest of Fort Worth near the edge of the Alliance corridor. Its officer badge is a sculpted scene in antique silver: a steam locomotive crossing a trestle bridge through rolling hills, with the state seal rising above it like the sun.
Shape and Base: The badge is a shield in an antique silver finish, edged with a rope-twist border and scrolled flourishes at the shoulders. The city name crosses the crown on a banner, with POLICE on a raised panel just beneath it.
Center Design: A sculpted landscape fills the shield in relief — a steam locomotive pulling across a long trestle bridge, a winding road below, rolling hills, and a pair of trees at the right. Set in the sky above the scene is a black-ringed seal lettered THE STATE OF TEXAS around a lone star.
