Description
This Frio County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the South Texas county whose seat is Pearsall. A black deer head and the motto SERVICE WITH RESPECT sit on a tan Texas map inside a round seal on an olive-green shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is an olive-green shield with a nearly flat top and rounded upper corners, and its sides taper to a point at the base. A tan merrowed border runs around the full edge.
Center Design: A round seal fills the middle of the shield, its olive ring edged in tan with a small tan star on each side. Inside, a tan map of Texas fills an olive disc, and a black deer head with a full set of antlers overlaps the left side of the map.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large tan serif letters. The ring of the seal reads STATE OF TEXAS over the top and COUNTY OF FRIO along the bottom in tan block letters, the motto SERVICE WITH RESPECT is stitched in black within quotation marks on the right side of the map, and 1858 sits below the seal in tan serif numbers.
Color and Thread: Olive green, tan, and black give the patch a subdued, earth-tone look, with the black deer head and motto standing out against the tan map.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a neighboring county design, see the Dimmit County Sheriff patch.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Frio County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Frio County Sheriff’s Office design, including the black deer head on the tan Texas map, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a wildlife figure be stitched over a state map on a seal?
Yes. An animal figure can be stitched in a solid color over part of a state map, as the black deer head overlaps the left side of the Texas map here, with room left on the other side for a motto.
Can a department motto be stitched inside the seal?
Yes. A short motto can be stitched inside the seal itself, as SERVICE WITH RESPECT is here in black on the tan map, set in quotation marks so it stands apart from the county name on the ring.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Frio County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Frio County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
