Description
This Martin County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Stanton. Created in 1876 and organized in 1884, the county is named for early settler Wylie Martin, and the year it was organized appears on the seal at the base as EST. 1884. A faceted gold star over U.S. and Texas flags fills the center of this black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with an arched top and a pointed base, finished with a gold merrowed border.
Center Design: A large gold five-point star, shaded along its ridges to look faceted, sits over two waving flags, the U.S. flag on the left and the Texas flag on the right. Below, a gold and tan Texas seal shows a star with brown oak and olive branches and a small red bow.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large gold letters, and MARTIN COUNTY sits in gold below the star. IN GOD WE TRUST arches in gold above the seal, which reads STATE OF TEXAS in brown, and a gold band across the seal reads EST. 1884 in black.
Color and Thread: Gold on black gives the patch strong contrast, with the red, white, and blue flags and the softer tan and brown seal adding color.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a neighboring county design, see the Dawson County Sheriff patch.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Martin County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Martin County Sheriff’s Office design, including the faceted gold star, waving flags, and IN GOD WE TRUST seal, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can IN GOD WE TRUST be arched above a seal?
Yes. A motto can curve over a seal like a crown, as IN GOD WE TRUST arches in gold above the Texas seal at the base of this patch, just below MARTIN COUNTY.
Can the Texas seal be stitched in muted gold and brown?
Yes. A seal can use a softer palette, as the one here is stitched in gold and tan with brown lettering and branches and a small red bow, crossed by a gold band reading EST. 1884.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Martin County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Martin County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
