Description
This Gaines County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the West Texas county whose seat is Seminole. A gold star over a map of Texas sits at the center of a navy shield, flanked by an oil pumpjack, a cotton boll, and a grazing cow that reflect the county’s oil, cotton, and ranching.
Shape and Border: The patch is a navy shield with a flat top and rounded upper corners, and its straight sides angle in to a point at the base. A charcoal merrowed border runs around the full edge.
Center Design: A large gold five-point star sits over a slate-blue map of Texas in the middle of the shield. A cream oil pumpjack stands on the left, a white cotton boll on a green stem with leaves rises on the right, and a black cow grazes across green striped field rows below the star.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large cream block letters, with GAINES COUNTY arched below it in gold block letters. TEXAS is stitched across the bottom of the shield in cream block letters.
Color and Thread: Navy, cream, and gold set the frame, while the slate-blue map, green fields and leaves, white cotton, and black cow add detail to the scene.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Gaines County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Gaines County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Gaines County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold star with the oil pumpjack, cotton boll, and grazing cow, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can local industries like oil and cotton be shown on a sheriff patch?
Yes. Scenes from local industry can be stitched around the center emblem, as the oil pumpjack, cotton boll, and grazing cow are here, giving the patch a clear sense of place alongside the star and state map.
Can a star be layered over a state map in a different color?
Yes. A star can be stitched in one color over a state map in another, as the gold star sits over a slate-blue Texas map here, so both shapes read clearly at the center of the patch.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Gaines County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Gaines County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
