This metal badge features the Argyle Police Department insignia, serving the town of Argyle, Texas, in Denton County north of Fort Worth. It is an oval shield badge struck in polished gold, built around a navy enamel disc and a red script wordmark.
Shape & Base: The badge is die-struck as an upright oval shield with a small eagle at the crown. Waving enamel flags flank the body on both sides, the United States flag at the left and the Texas flag at the right, modelled with the folds struck into the metal.
Center: A navy blue enamel disc fills the middle of the shield, carrying a large gold five-point star across its face. Individual letters are set around the disc at the star points, and the town name is struck over the star in red script rather than the block capitals used everywhere else on the badge.
Ring & Banner Lettering: A gold banner arcs across the top of the oval reading ARGYLE in black-filled letters. Two more gold banners cross the lower half reading POLICE and OFFICER, lettered the same way, so the rank sits at the base rather than the top.
