Frequently Asked Questions

Can I order a custom metal badge like the Burleson Police design?

Yes. Owl Badges produces custom die-struck metal badges for police departments, sheriff’s offices, and constable offices nationwide. You can order this silver eagle-top shield as shown or change the seal wording, the banner text, the rank line, and the star plate to fit your own department. Badges carrying a real agency name require credential verification before production.

What is the minimum order for a police badge like this?

There is a low minimum order. Single badges are available for individual officers, and per-piece pricing drops sharply as quantity rises, which makes larger runs practical for an entire department or a promotion cycle at once.

Can the four-star plate be struck with a different number of stars?

Yes. The plate at the base of this badge carries four black stars in a row, and the same die can be struck with one, two, three or four stars so a single design serves every rank from officer through chief. We can also swap the stars for a badge number, a rank word, or leave the plate blank for engraving.

How much does a custom metal badge like this cost?

Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at a single piece down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes. There is no setup fee and no mold fee. Final pricing depends on the finished design, size, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.

How long does production take?

Approximately 8 to 14 weeks for tooling, striking, plating, and finishing after your proof is approved. With no enamel on this design, the fill stage drops out and the time goes into the eagle relief and the laurel border, both of which are cut into the die before the first strike.

Do I need credentials to order a badge with the Burleson Police name on it?

Yes. Metal badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Burleson police buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Custom or fictional department designs, and designs where you substitute your own agency name, are welcome without that step.
