Description
This Clay County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the North Texas county on the Red River whose seat is Henrietta, east of Wichita Falls. It centers a gold six-point star on a dark brown shield, with the county name and TX set below.
Shape and Border: The patch is a dark brown shield with an arched top, rounded shoulders, and sides that taper to a curved point, finished with a gold merrowed border around the full edge.
Center Design: A large gold six-point star with ball tips fills the center of the shield. Two white scroll banners cross its upper and lower arms, and between them sits a round seal: a red band with three small white stars along its lower edge surrounds a blue center holding a white five-point star in a green wreath.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top of the shield in large gold block letters. The upper scroll reads SHERIFF’S and the lower scroll reads OFFICE in black, and THE STATE OF TEXAS runs around the red band in white. CLAY curves along the lower left of the shield and COUNTY along the lower right, with TX centered at the bottom, all in gold.
Color and Thread: Gold on dark brown gives the patch a warm, traditional look, while the white scrolls and the red, white, blue, and green seal make the center star stand out.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Clay County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Clay County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Clay County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold six-point star with its two white scrolls, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can scroll banners be added across a star like on this patch?
Yes. Scroll banners can be stitched across the arms of a star to carry a title, a department name, or a motto, as SHERIFF’S and OFFICE are here, with the lettering sized to stay legible at patch size.
Can the brown background or the star be changed?
Yes. The dark brown twill, the gold star, and the border can all be changed, and the star can be redrawn with five, six, or seven points. The CLAY COUNTY and TX lettering can carry your own county and state.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Clay County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Clay County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
