Shape & Base: A polished gold seven-point star forms the body of the badge, each point rounded at the tip. Engraved floral sprigs fill each arm, and a beaded and lined border traces the full outline of the star, so the engraving carries the metal between the seal and the points.
Center: A circular medallion sits at the heart of the star, struck in gold relief. The Colorado state seal fills it: the all-seeing eye in a radiant triangle at the top, a fasces below it, a heraldic shield showing snow-capped mountains and crossed mining tools, and a banner reading NIL SINE NUMINE beneath. The whole seal is worked in gold relief against a darkened ground.
Star Lettering: The badge carries no scroll banners for its main text.
