Description
This Hardin County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Southeast Texas county whose seat is Kountze, in the Beaumont–Port Arthur area and largely covered by the Big Thicket forest. A gold star framed by oak and olive branches stands on a waving Texas flag, with a HARDIN COUNTY scroll across its face and an EST 1858 band below marking the year the county was founded.
Shape and Border: The patch is a navy shield with an arched top and rounded upper corners, and its sides taper to a rounded point at the base. A gold merrowed border runs around the full edge, with a red band just inside it.
Center Design: A large faceted gold five-point star sits in front of a waving blue flag that carries a white star on each side and white and red at its ends, in the colors of the Texas flag. An oak branch with acorns frames the left of the star and an olive branch frames the right, and a silver scroll with curled ends crosses the star’s face. Below, a band trimmed in red and gold holds a gold-ringed navy circle with a small gold outline shape at its center.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters outlined in dark thread. HARDIN COUNTY is stitched in dark block letters on the silver scroll, and EST and 1858 sit on either side of the circle in gold.
Color and Thread: Navy, gold, and red frame the design, while the blue and white of the flag, the green and gold leaves, and the silver scroll add depth around the star.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Hardin County Constable badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Hardin County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Hardin County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold star, oak and olive branches, and waving flag behind them, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a patch show a star in front of a waving flag?
Yes. A star can be layered over a flag stitched with folds and shading, as the gold star stands in front of the waving blue flag here. The flag carries a white star on each side and white and red at its ends, so it reads as Texas even with the star at the center.
Can a patch include a founding year in a base band?
Yes. A narrow band at the base can carry a founding year with a small emblem between the words, as EST and 1858 sit on either side of a gold-ringed circle here. Keeping the band slim leaves the star and scroll as the focus of the patch.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Hardin County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Hardin County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
