Description
This Lamar County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Northeast Texas county on the Red River whose seat and largest city is Paris. Formed in 1840 and organized in 1841, the county is named for Mirabeau B. Lamar, the second president of the Republic of Texas. A round badge with a lavender field and a gold star sits on a black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a gently curved top and rounded upper corners, and its sides taper to a point at the base. A light gray line runs inside a black merrowed edge, and a gray arc separates the top panel.
Center Design: A round badge fills the middle of the shield, with a silver ring around a lavender field and lavender laurel branches at each side. A gold five-point star overlaps the ring, with a silver banner across its upper points. At the center of the star, a black ring surrounds a gold Texas seal of a star within a wreath.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large white block letters, and TX sits in white at the base. The silver ring reads LAMAR COUNTY at the top and OFFICE at the bottom in black, the banner reads SHERIFF’S, and the black ring reads THE STATE OF TEXAS in gold.
Color and Thread: Black twill keeps the patch dark around the edges, while the silver ring, gold star, and lavender field give the badge at the center a soft, distinctive color mix.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Paris Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Lamar County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Lamar County Sheriff’s Office design, including the lavender ring badge with its gold star and State of Texas center, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a patch use lavender as a field color?
Yes. Less common thread colors are available, as the lavender field and lavender laurel branches inside this badge show, set against silver, gold, and black so the star still stands out.
Can the state abbreviation be stitched at the base of a patch?
Yes. A short TX can close out the design, as it does here in white at the point of the shield, below the badge and its OFFICE lettering.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Lamar County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Lamar County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
