Frequently Asked Questions

Can you sculpt our landmark building in three-dimensional relief like this Mission design?

Yes. Unlike a flat etched image, this building is modeled in dimensional relief — the bell tower, arches, and courtyard wall all rise from the badge face and catch light as real geometry. The artwork team works from photos of your landmark to sculpt the die, and you approve the model on a free proof before tooling.

Can the FOUNDED 1908 ribbon carry our own date or motto?

Yes. The silver ribbon under the crown accepts any short inscription — a founding year, an incorporation date, or a department motto abbreviation — and it can also be struck blank or removed entirely if you prefer a cleaner crown.

What does a badge with a sculpted building cost?

Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The dimensional building work is part of the die itself, so it adds no per-badge premium, and final pricing is confirmed with a free quote.

How long does production take for this level of sculpting?

Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval. The building model is resolved at the artwork and die-tooling stage, so the window covers tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the blue seal enamel, and hand inspection of the relief detail.

Can the banners and seal be adapted for our department?

Yes. POLICE, OFFICER, MISSION, and the TX panel each re-letter to your own agency, rank, city, and state, and the blue seal medallion can carry your municipal seal or state seal instead. The whole set strikes from one die for a uniform department order.

Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?

Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
