Description
This Cooke County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the North Texas county on the Red River whose seat is Gainesville, north of Denton. It is a black-and-white design built around a round star-and-wreath seal with a single red accent.
Shape and Border: The patch is a black shield with a wide, gently arched top and sides that curve down to a rounded point, finished with a white merrowed border around the full edge.
Center Design: A round seal fills the middle of the shield. A dark gray ring frames a black disc holding a silver-white five-point star inside a wreath of black and white leaves, tied at the base with a small red bow.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top of the shield in white block letters. COOKE COUNTY curves beneath the seal and TEXAS runs straight across the lower shield, both in white.
Color and Thread: Black, white, and gray keep the patch in a crisp, understated scheme, and the red bow at the base of the wreath adds a single point of color.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Cooke County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Cooke County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Cooke County Sheriff’s Office design, including the silver star seal with its red bow, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a patch use a single accent color like the red bow on this design?
Yes. A mostly black-and-white patch can carry one accent color, such as the small red bow here, to draw the eye to a key detail while keeping the overall look subdued and professional.
Can the black and white colors be switched to full color?
Yes. The seal can be stitched in full color, with a gold star and a green wreath, and the lettering and border can be changed to gold, blue, or another color to match your uniform.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Cooke County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Cooke County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
