Description
This Hunt County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Northeast Texas county whose seat is Greenville, at the eastern edge of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. A red Texas map with HUNT across it and a small star marking the county sits over a gold five-point star on a black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a black shield with an arched top and rounded upper corners, and its sides taper to a point at the base. A gold merrowed border runs around the full edge.
Center Design: A gold five-point star fills the middle of the shield, with a red Texas map outlined in gold set in front of it so the points of the star show around the map. A small gold star sits in the northeast part of the map, marking the county’s location.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters, and COUNTY sits below the center in matching gold letters. HUNT is stitched in gold across the middle of the map, completing the department name.
Color and Thread: Black and gold keep the design simple, while the red map gives the center a strong focal point.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Hunt County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Hunt County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Hunt County Sheriff’s Office design, including the red Texas map with HUNT across it and the locator star, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a county name be stitched across a Texas map?
Yes. A county or department name can be stitched right across a map, as HUNT is here in gold on the red Texas map. Splitting the name between the map and the lettering around it keeps the design compact and easy to read.
Can a small star mark a county on a state map patch?
Yes. A small star can be stitched on a state map to show where a county sits, as the gold star does in the northeast part of the red map here. It adds a local detail without changing the outline of the state.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Hunt County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Hunt County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
