Description
This Madison County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Madisonville. Created in 1853 and organized in 1854, the county is named for President James Madison. A gold star-in-ring badge between waving U.S. and Texas flags fills the center of this navy shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with an arched top and a pointed base, finished with a gold merrowed border.
Center Design: A wide gold ring holds a gold five-point star with ball tips, its points reaching the ring. At the star’s center, a red ring surrounds a blue disc with a white star, and short green leaf sprigs run down both sides of the gold ring. A waving U.S. flag flies to the left of the badge and a waving Texas flag to the right.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold letters. The gold ring reads MADISON across the top and COUNTY across the bottom in navy, the star carries SHERIFF and TEXAS banners, and the red center ring reads STATE OF TEXAS. A gold scroll at the base reads TO PROTECT AND SERVE in navy.
Color and Thread: Gold on navy carries most of the design, with the red, white, and blue of both flags and the green sprigs adding color around the badge.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a neighboring county design, see the Grimes County Sheriff patch.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Madison County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Madison County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold star-in-ring badge, waving flags, and TO PROTECT AND SERVE scroll, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the county name be split between the top and bottom of a badge ring?
Yes. A two-word name can be divided around a ring, as MADISON arches across the top of the gold ring here and COUNTY curves along the bottom, with the star badge between them.
Can small leaf sprigs be stitched on the sides of a badge ring?
Yes. Short green sprigs can trim a ring without forming a full wreath, as two leaf sprigs run down the left and right sides of the gold ring on this patch.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Madison County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Madison County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
