Description
This Midland County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the office’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Midland. Founded in 1885, the county takes its name from the city, which sat midway between Fort Worth and El Paso on the Texas and Pacific Railway. A black-outlined Texas map with a small oil derrick sits on a faceted gold star at the center of this navy shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield whose top edge arches up to a rounded peak at the center, tapering to a point at the base, and it is finished with a gold merrowed border.
Center Design: A large five-point star stitched in two tones of gold fills the center, with a Texas map outlined in black across its face. A small black oil derrick beside a small building sits in the western part of the map, a nod to the county’s rank as the top oil-producing county in Texas. The U.S. flag and the Texas flag show behind the star on either side.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters. A silver scroll with swallowtail ends crosses the upper star and reads INTEGRITY, SERVICE, and COURTESY separated by small stars, and a curved silver scroll below reads MIDLAND COUNTY, all in black.
Color and Thread: Gold and silver stand out against the navy twill, while the red, white, and blue flags add color behind the star without crowding the map.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in a neighboring county, see the Ector County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Midland County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Midland County Sheriff’s Office design, including the faceted gold star, oil derrick, and INTEGRITY SERVICE COURTESY scroll, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a Texas map be outlined on a star in the same color as the star?
Yes. Here the map is defined only by a black outline across the gold star, so both shapes read clearly without adding another thread color, and there is still room for a small symbol inside the map.
Is this the Midland County in Texas or in Michigan?
This is Midland County, Texas, whose county seat is the city of Midland, roughly halfway between Fort Worth and El Paso. Michigan also has a Midland County, which has its own sheriff’s office.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Midland County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Midland County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
